Contractors have put the finishing touches on two major refurbishment projects at the Africa University campus. Work began in June on the ground level of the Ndorimana Bonaventure building—an area that serves as the Student Union at Africa University and includes a games room and mini convenience store. A gift from the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection in Leawood, Kansas, helped the university to replace the original flooring with tile, repaint the area, and refresh the bathrooms with new fixtures.
The university has also refurbished all of the public areas of the Bishop Edwin C. and Mrs. Betty Ann Boulton Hall of Residence. The building is one of two dormitories that were constructed on the campus with gifts from the East Ohio Conference.
The university upgraded the dormitory and Student Union space in readiness for the start of the 2016-2017 academic year. The freshman class of 2016 began registration and orientation on August 10th. The university will officially welcome the new and returning students back to campus at a special worship service on August 28th.
